Anything wrong with taking a CD/DVD drive from an old computer?

So I've finished picking out my parts, and I'm just waiting for them to get to my house pretty much. I've also bought windows 7 a few days ago, but then realized that I didn't have a CD/DVD drive in my build to install it. I haven't used the CD's or DVD's in such a long time I completely forgot about them... >.>

I have a few CD and CD/DVD drives lying around in the house, from some of the old computers we used to have. I was wondering if there would be any compatibilty issue, by using those?

I know CD/DVD drives are cheap, but it might be less of a hassle just using one of those.

Apart from you need a SATA port for a SATA drive and an IDE port for an IDE drive there is no problem

Sorry for the late reply, but I found the drive and the drive has an IDE port while my MOBO doesn't

Will a bootable USB still work?
