Hi,

I am considering one of these to cards;

PNY GeForce GTX 460 1GB

or

MSI GeForce GTX 460 Cyclone Overclocked Edition 1GB

I could not find any benchmarks anywhere between 460's so, considering the price and performance which would be the best option for a build around a Sandybridge i5-2400?

Thanks for your help :)

MSI:

-Great warranty service (knowing from experience)
-Better cooler
-Factory overclocked from reference

PNY:

-Cheaper
-Looks better
-You get a free movie download coupon

Hi Omnisome,

Good points. Thanks :)

In terms of performance is there much between these two?

Also, it would complement the following:
i5-2400,
H67 motherboard,
4GB RAM

The system is not to be overclocked.

Based on the above which of the two would be the best option?

thanks

MSI version has a better heatsink which can come in handy when your O.C.ing.
Also MSI is a very reliable company

But for $200 (U.S.) you might as well get your moneys worth and go for a 6870.They are starting to become very cheap now since the GTX560 came out.

To answer your question the PNY version is just a reference model. The MSI version comes factory O.C. and it has a much better heatsink(probably run silent).
