Are there any student discounts on Windows 7? If there is where can I get Windows 7 on a student discount? Local retail store such a bestbuy or online???

Its only available online from microsoft. Google windows 7 student offer and click on any link going to microsoft.

There is, I recently bought mine via digital download for £30 the offer has ended so they are now £38 I think, you also need your university/collage email adress and student email.

Is it the student discount an upgrade version or regular retail????

If it's an upgrade I won't get it because I need it for a newly built pc with no OS.

Its an upgrade version, but you can install it without already having an os installed.

alright. I'm probably gonna call MS store and ask them about it. I read somewhere that if you called it's possible to purchase the full version.

You can get the FULL version from the Microsoft store for $30.00 (unless they changed the price). Comes with both the 32 and 64 bit versions on separate DVDs'. It's not an upgrade version. Microsofts store phone number is in the link for the older thread you posted.
