Hello,

I was working in CPU-Z this morning on a new rig and noticed that my Radeon HD 5970's have different core clock and memory.

3x are showing 724 MHz Core and 1000 MHz Memory
1x is showing 156 MHz Core and 200 MHz Memory.

What does this exactly mean? Shouldnt they all be the same speed since they are both the same cards?

I was wondering if this might means that one of the cards is defective? Should I RMA this?

Thanks so much!

hmm, test your cards simultaneously and see if they each run at their correct speeds or not.

Sorry could you go into a bit more detail, I am very noobish when it comes to building/tweeking computers.

I have tested each card seperatly and it seems that they each run at 1x at 724 MHz Core and 1000 MHz Memory
1x is showing 156 MHz Core and 300 MHz Memory.

very strange unless this is they way they are supposed to run?

All of them should run at 157/300 at idle.
Take your cards out and test them one by one and check your idle clocks and post them here.
