Building a pc for the first time (with help) this month, what do you think to the parts list? looking for a go-ahead in terms of compatibility really, i only like to use well branded parts, i believe in quality over a small saving.

Hey thanks for the reply,

Forget to mention I will be adding in a Samsung Spinpoint F3 1tb, and further of the same drive for backup and specific audio drives. Good drives?

On another I want to install win 7 to the SSD, shall I leave the 1tb unplugged while I do this or is it ok to leave it in and will i be able to select which drive at install?

Build looks solid, nice choices.

Don't worry about unplugging the HDs while installing, Win7 will ask you which drive to install to.

If you're going to be using it for Audio production, don't you need a 96khz sound card in there? As good as Asus boards are, I think the onboard sound will be laggy and low quality.

i will be using an external usb/fireware interface for the soundcard and for my instrument i/os., thanks for the help, now im doubting whether the corsair cases are worth it and just save money and go for a Fractal R3 ;p

cheers guys.
