It happens pretty rarely, but it does happen.
I used the factory heatsink when I built the computer and I know its not the best i'm just a little scared i'd mess up installing my own thermal paste.

Here's a screen of my system running after reboot and sc2 running.

Heres my cpu specs:

i7 930 running at stock settings
Zotac GTX 480 running at stock
Mushkin Enhanced Redline 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 998805
CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-850HX 850W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Haf 922 case

I've been running my cpu 24/7 idle in Sc2 chatrooms to make the clan im in look more active.
The nvidia drivers are the newest..
Not sure what I got going on here... I guess i'd really personally want to point my finger at sc2 because I've had no problems with any other games I have.

Your CPU temperatures are high for idle. I have an I7 920 at 3.8ghz and they are a good 15 degrees lower than that. And I think the reason why it only happens on SC2 is because its an RTS, and RTS's are very cpu intensive, compared to a console port.

That doesn't sound good. =/ I'm going to play a few games of sc2 and then repost another picture of the temps right after so we can see if it goes up or whatnot.
