HP DV6000 LAPTOP QUESTION

Hello, I have a HP DV6000 entertainment PC (Laptop), it stopped booting up but does light all lights up when booting and normal indication that it sends a signal to the HARD DRIVE. However it will not load the operating system an will not enter a fault screen to allow access to the bios. Do you think this is a failure of the Motherboard?

Can you see anything on the screen? It could be a bad inverter, your LCD could be out or video problems (HP has ordered a recall got DV6000 series, look for your model). Plug in to an external monitor and see if that works, if so, you have bad inverter or LCD.
