So I bought a new mobo recently and was disappointed to see the performance of the SATA 3 raid controller when doing a RAID-0 with my OCZ Vertex 3 drives.
I used to have a MSI P6N SLI Platinum board and two Intel SSD 25-M's in a RAID-0 over SATA 2. It feels like I'm getting about the same speeds I used to have. To be honest, I was thinking I'd be getting closer to 700 Mb/s r/w since moving to SATA 3, but I'm getting around 400 Mb/s r/w.
Is this simply the limitation of the Marvell controller on the board or should my Vertex drives be faster?
