ATI HD 4870 - I think VRAM is dead. What to do now?

Hi there, I have a ATI HD 4870 1GB DDR5 Video card. I unscrewed it, removed a GPU fan and washed it under the stream of water. Then I dried it with dryer for like 20mins to make sure that it's dry. Then I wiped off all the dust from other parts of the video card and screwed it all back together.

When I first inserted my card back to the PC I was experiencing some weird things like:

Low FPS in some games.
Flash Player was crashing on all websites.

And then eventually it stopped working at all - I turn on pc, GPU Fan is spinning but I can't see anything on my display.

Is there anything I can do to fix this or the card is dead for sure and I have to buy new one?

Thanks.

Sorry for my English, I hope you will understand what I wrote.
