Problem with video on new build?

I don't know if this is normal, but I just put together a new build last week and everything is fine so far. However, my monitor (currently my 42" 720p HDTV) doesn't have DVI so I have it hooked up on HDMI2. I have my PS3 hooked up on HDMI1. Anyway, so if I boot up the computer and have the TV already set to HDMI2 then it works fine, but if after it starts up I switch to HDMI1 to watch TV via my PS3 and then try to switch back, there is no video until I reboot.

Any ideas?

Here is my build:

Case: Cooler Master HAF 912
PSU: OCZ Fatal1ty 550W
Motherboard: ASRock P67 Extreme4 B3
Processor: Intel i5 2500k
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212+
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600
HDD: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB
Disk drive: ASUS Black 24X SATA DVD burner
GPU: SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 5770

It sounds to me like your computer is just going to sleep or shutting off the video signal while you're switched to your PS3. It might seem obvious, but have you tried moving the mouse when switching to HDMI2?

Yes. Plus, it still does it even if I switch over and switch directly back.
