So i have a HIS Radeon HD5850, the orgional version with no aftermarket coolers etc, i looks like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:HIS_Radeon_HD_5850-to...
i am looking to crossfire with another 5850, so i can improve performance, but i am having trouble finding HIS 5850's out there. When i looked on newegg.com all i could find was this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
So my question is can i crossfire the original 5850(first card mentioned) with the new version of the card aftermarket cooler etc (second card mentioned)

thx 4 yr elp

First off, that link is sold out. :(

Secondly, yes, dosen't matter if one is "Turbo" and oc'd, as long as it's the same core (the HD 5850) and the same amount of VRAM, you'll be fine.

does anybody have any idea of a place to get one easily
and secondly what about cross brand, i think that i have heard that this doesn't work but im kinda getting desperate here.

It does, work just fine. The only difference between brands is the cooling, amount of VRAM, and the clock speeds. The actual GPU is the same all across so it should be fine cross-brand.

However make sure they have the same #VRAM. Clock speeds are irrelevant.
