Asus x79 sabertooth having trouble arrange disk numbers..

hello, im having a trouble arranging the disk number while installing window 7 home premium 64bit.

x79 sabertooth
intel cpu LGA 2011
gtx 590
16gb ram
ssd 128gb kingston
1tb samsung hdd
1tb samsung hdd

when i got into the bios sata configuration it shows me

SATA 6G_1 BROWN - ssd
SATA 6G_2 BROWN - hdd

SATA 3G_3 BLACK - hdd
SATA 3G_4 BLACK - optical drive

SATA 3G_5 BLACK - none
SATA 3G_6 BLACK - none

when i trying to install window 7

it shows me like this to install in the drive

disk 0 - hdd
disk 1 - ssd
disk 2 - hdd

but if i change like this

SATA 6G_1 BROWN - hdd
SATA 6G_2 BROWN - ssd

SATA 3G_3 BLACK - hdd
SATA 3G_4 BLACK - optical drive

SATA 3G_5 BLACK - none
SATA 3G_6 BLACK - none

it shows like this

disk 0 - hdd
disk 1 - hdd
disk 2 - ssd

and i dont want to put ssd on 3g
is anyway possible to put ssd on disk0 to install.. or is this doesnt matter at all..

Disconnect all the HD first and only connect the SSD... Install teh WIndow 7 OS on SSD first .. when it finish connect backthe rest HD...

I agree you only want the primary boot drive connected while you install the OS. The ID numbering is the 'boot' order the BIOS automatically assigns.

However, most folk are botching-up their Windows 7 installations. I strongly recommend that you read my 'How to Install Windows 7 on X79' post - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/303873-30-wont-resume...

Since most folks screw it up, the post is also how to fix it. While Windows can install in AHCI 'seemingly' without the 'F6' drivers they're the wrong drivers and the MBR is now corrupted. I find it best to set the SATA -> RAID to prevent and accidental use of the wrong drivers.

How I would place the drives:

SATA 6G_1 BROWN - ssd
SATA 6G_2 BROWN - none

SATA 3G_3 BLACK - hdd
SATA 3G_4 BLACK - hdd

SATA 3G_5 BLACK - optical drive
SATA 3G_6 BLACK - none
