Help choosing a MB

Hey guys,

I have a question, well more like a couple :)

Does anyone know if the INTEL P67 Chipset will support Ivy-Bridge? I am assuming it will with a bios update and i have seen a couple of graphs stating it will but i am wondering if anyone else know more. If it does which board will be my best option for a P67 MB

Asus SABERTOOTH P67 (Rev 3.0)

or would i be better of going for a Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 (2XPCI-E 3.0)

  1. That chip set will be supported,14012.html

For those three is money is no factor the Asus MAXIMUS IV EXTREME is the best but I would get the Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 because of it being over $100 cheaper and it's almost as good.

You only will need the Asus MAXIMUS IV EXTREME if you want to run three for four cards in CF/SLI.
  2. Thanks.

The Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 is only about $20 cheaper at the computer shop down the street from me. So i would have to say i will go with that.
  3. P.S anyother opinions would be great as well.

  4. Oh ok looks like you found it for a great price it costs $340 on newegg and the other one is only $205.
  5. ya i can get the sabertooth P67 for 199.99CAD and the MAXIMUS IV EXTREME for 249.99CAD :P I'm thinking the Sabertooth P67 only because i like to look and both board have almost the same specs except for one less PIC-E slot, but i don't need it i will only ever use 2 GPU's.

    Thanks guys
  6. I would go for the MAXIMUS IV EXTREME because you are getting a top of the line board for a very good price. Also should be better for overclocking.

But since they are so similar comes down to the price and looks.
