Select a power supply that is at least double the power rating that you will eventually pull when you complete your build. Reason for this is most power supplies deliver their best efficiency when delivering 50 % from its labeled load. I use primarily Seasonic and Corsair power supplies.

I would not recommend settling for a cheap gaming case and would suggest that you consider a case for its thermal characteristics. Reason for this is enthusiast components available on the market today generate a lot of heat, and if the heat is not controlled, your rig's component lifespan and performance will suffer.

There are several cases with good thermal characteristics available such as the Fractal Arc Midi for $110.00 or the Silverstone Raven RV03 for $140.00.
