If your camera is mini dv capable most video editing software will allow you to import (via firewire/ilink/ieee1394 port on your pc) and edit, windows movie maker should let you import and edit you videos of your camera, for burning to dvd you will need something like Ulead video studio or nero, there are others aswell.
