I7 2600k maximum temperature with stand

Hello,
My desktop configuration ..

MB : ASUS P8Z68-VPRO||PROCESSOR : I7 2600K 3.40ghz||RAM:CORSAIR DDR3 8GB(4x2) 1333 MHZ(CMV4GX3M1A1333C9)||HARDDISK : SEAGATE 1TB||POWER SUPPLY:HUNTKEY 500W||CABINET : I-BALL GAMING CASE|GRAPHIC CARD : NO||OS : windows 7 ultimate
when i check my cpu temperature usig ASUS suit II it shows at ideal 60 degree celcius ,MB- 42 deg celcius and fan speed 2089rpm , when i play games it shows cpu temperature 82 degree celcius and fan speed 3000rpm is it ok ?? please help me out guys..and also I am planning to buy graphic card of ATI 5570 1GB (PCX -16X,D,DDR5) or ATI 6570 1GB (PCX -16X,D,DDR3) or ATI 5450 1GB (PCX -16X,D,DDR3) , please suggest me among this 3 gcd which is the best for my desktop for playing games like Assassins creed-Revelation , and also please suggest me the necessary configuration settings i have to make in order to make my desktop works at maximum speed , Is the graphic card really boost the performs of the system??

Those temps are quite high - did you assemble this yourself?

If so, make sure you applied CPU thermal paste correctly.

In terms of a graphics card, those cards should do well on most games at low resolutions. If your monitor is a high resolution (1920*1080 or higher), none of those cards would likely be adequate for playing games at high settings.
 
ASUS boards will auto-overclock if you change certain settings in the BIOS. That could easily explain the high temperatures, as the stock CPU cooler can't handle even a mild overclock. The ASUS Suite II software likely has the CPU speed listed, so make sure it's at stock.
