Hello,

I bought from newegg.ca most of the parts in my computer, but there are some issues. Some i succeded in solving them, but there are one that i don't know how to deal with it.

Basically, i got this http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233143 (4x4G memory modules at 9-9-924) and this motherboard http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128509 and instead 1600 frequency it reads 1333.

I tried myself to change the voltage in bios at 1.5V as it says in memory's specifications but then i received a message that the overclocking may damage the computer and reset at previous values automatically. I sent a message to Corsair and they answered me this: «Go ahead and go into bios and set the DRAM Freq to 1600MHZ, add the timings which are located on the memory, and set the voltage to 1.7». I don't want to go up to 1.7V right away. I need some advises that is a proper way to solve this proble.

Last word: I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, AMD FX-6100, http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182071 as power supply.

all ddr3 memory are default 1333 you have to overclock them.

try used XMP extreme profile, if you don't know how to overclock memory, extreme profile will Auto overclock it, to safe voltages.

you can find that profile in bios, normally same place that you change memory clocks.

probably that profile will do the same that corsair told you, set frequency to 1600 and adjust voltage to 1.5, what you can't do is increase the frequency without adjust the voltage, that will bring problems to your memory.

if you can't find that, do what corsair answered you, it can't be wrong. if it is to work with 1.7 at that frequency, do that...

XMP extreme profile looks like is for Intel processors, and mine is a AMD. Thank you for your help, but i wait for some other suggestions before going and do changes in bios (i am not that good in computers).

well, it is a simple task actually, you don't need to be good at anything, just change memory voltage/clock, anyways, there is no need to overclock it if you are not that good with computer you will hardly notice changes. as they will be seen mostly on benchmarks.
