Graphics problem with new build.

So I just finished my build
mobo - Gigabyte h55m-usb3
processor - i5 680
ram - gskill eco 1333mhz 8-8-8-24 2gbx2
stock cooler
no video card(for now)

No overclocking. Running windows 7 64bit and when I check my windows experience index I have 1 for graphics and 3d graphics!!. I know that the integrated graphics aren't great but surely better that a 1(I've seen others get in the 3s and 4s). What may be wrong with the system? Any help asap would be appreciated since I only have a few days left on the sellers return policy if for some reason this is a hardware fault.

Also I would only take WEI with a grain of salt.

ALSO Windows Vista and Windows 7 are scored differently, so that may have some merit to it.

You have the latest drivers for the HD from Intel? (not that I am a firm believer in win EI)
