Need mobo advice

hey all,

I am trying to find a motherboard that will work with my parts that has RAID 0 capability without a RAID card, and H67 to take adv. of quick sync (there's no GPU in this build at the moment, and I won't be overclocking. I might add a GPU later)

I have these components:

550 W fatality OCZ PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341022

2 HDD Spinpoint F3 1TB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL032911&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL032911-_-EMC-032911-Index-_-InternalHardDrives-_-22152185-L03D

1 SSD Vertex 2 OCZ 60 GB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227550&cm_re=ssd_vertex-_-20-227-550-_-Product

i5 2400 CPU

wireless card rosewill

8GB patriot RAM DDR3 1333 mhZ

The cheapest ATX size mobo will do. Any suggestions?

  1. How about this?
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128475
GIGABYTE GA-H67A-UD3H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel H67 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

anything cheaper @newegg is either a Micro or Mini ATX
  2. okay, I guess if it's that much of a difference I could use a mini atx. My case is designed for ATX however...will that make a difference?

    You can look at these:

Most ATX cases will also support mini & micro ATX form factor motherboards.

ASRock H61M-VS LGA 1155 Intel H61 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
  5. is there any disadvantages not going with an ATX mobo?
  6. also that ASRock board is a H61, so I don't think it will work with quick sync once I add a GPU in, right?
