What is use of turbo button in computer

Not all computers have one,
if your motherboard does have one the location is pretty obvious, its a big button on your motherboard with turbo printed on it,
the manual will also point out its location
as it suggests it turbo's your pc to perform faster when needed, like in gaming for example,

Turbo buttons on cases where last seen during the 486/pentium transition back in the dark days when Microsoft ruled the world, Apple was about to go out of business and the boys from Google and facebook, where wondering when they would get laid at Uni.
 


Google, maybe, but Facebook? Mark Z was barely able to walk when PC's last had Turbo buttons.
