How big of a power supply do I need for this rig? I know the LGA2011 chips take more power but how much from the 8 dimm slots and a new water cooler?

Just got a Asus Sabertooth X79 Mobo
8x4GB sticks of G.Skill 1.5V memory.
H100 Corsair Water CPU cooler
Geforce GTX 460
120GB SSD
400GB HDD

Only reason I ask is because I have been getting application lockups when benchmarking (under load) and Driver Crashes for both my GTX 460 or a different Radeon HD 6870 (under load).

Driver Crashes / Application lockups on both a fresh install of windows 7 (new drivers) and an older install from a previous HDD.

Using a 750W Corsair PS right now. But with 8x dimms at 1.5V is that an issue?

Well after removing 4 dimms and bringing the system memory down to 16 gigs from 32 the crashes have stopped and the benchmarks are going to completion...

Is it possible the power supply is not able to support 8 dimms at 1.5V?
On newegg I see new power supplies stating they are compatible with Sandybridge i3,5,7...

This Corsair 750 watt is probably from around 08'-09..
What has changed in power supply technology since then?

I have the same MOBO, and 8xDIMM is a PITA so no it's not a PSU issue.

If you post your kits, I can give you some guidance. In most instances setting the AI Overclock Tuner -> XMP isn't the best option, but with all 8xDIMM slots populated set both the VTT and VCCSA -> 1.10v and if failure try 1.20v but don't exceed 1.20v.
