So i have one 9800GTX+ running pretty good. I want to be able to run Ultra on some games so i have a question.

Should i buy another 9800GTX+ for SLI, or buy a totally new card. Was thinking about the 5770

5770 is around the same as a GTS450 and the GTS450 is a little better than a 9800GT+, therefore if I was in your situation I would definately for for SLI. You just won't get DX11, that's the only drawback.

Consider selling your 9800 and getting a 460 or something? Maybe even a 580.

Although the SLI option would be more powerful there are obviously drawbacks to multiple card solutions, more heat is generated, and also there are a few in compatibility issues.

My suggestion to you would be to try and sell your card to save up for a powerful single card solution.

What are your computer specs? have you got a powerful enough PSU to run those cards?

Hello, Turini.

We definitely need to know all of the components in your current system to be able to answer your question effectively.

Take a few minutes and put them in your signature. That way you won't have to constantly repeat them over and over. :D

sli would be way faster than a 5770. a minimum upgrade to make it worth while from a 9800gtx would be a gtx460
