Should be able to.
Why not go with a Radeon 5770 instead? It is faster and uses less power.
Or have you already bought it?

Their pretty much equal in performance depending on which games you play.
I guess it's persnoal prefernce when 2 cards perform equally. If you want physx then i say thats the reason why you should get it.

Which games are you trying to play?

for physx the gts450 is useless as it is not fast enough to use physx in modern games without your fps grinding to a halt. What resolution is your monitor? if you have a 1900x1080 monitor you should be looking at a faster card.

at that resolution both are a good choice. the 5770 is faster, however there are some OC versions of the gts450 that are as fast as the 5770. If your comparing standard versions of both cards, the 5770 is the better choice, they are generally a similar price. i think after alot discussion i wont buy gts450 will go for gts460 or if have less money than will buy gts250... but 450 is now totally rejected.. for that 5770 is better might buy that.. but actually i was thinking to get a card with 256 bits...

again will my supply support gtx460??

it should be ok with a gtx460 which is significantly faster than any of those cards. even the 768mb (192bit memory) version and the SE version are faster. 256 bits or not it doesnt really matter, its the total bandwidth of the memory you should look at, and even then it is only part of the equation. a gts450 is still as fast and faster in some cases than a gts250, and i would get it over the 250 for the sake of dx11 support. The gts250 should be the cheapest option though.

Here's the official System Requirements:

Minimum of a 450 Watt power supply

(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 24 Amps.

I'd use a 650 watter and avoid the Basiq line entirely.)
