I'm trying to make the poison potion to kill the guards on Level 4 of the
Severed Hand. The character attempting to make it is a 15th-level mage with
an Alchemy skill of 21.

I put the spell components (bonding agent, tainted demon's blood, and
virulent agent) onto the table in Dracien's lab and... then what? I don't
see any way to actuate the lab equipment.

IIRC you have to use demon blood (not the tainted one). The potion will
be made automatically once all correct items have been placed on the table.
