Hey guys,
Today while using Sculptris (3d sculpting program, farily CPU intensive) my computer instantly shut off. I tried to restart it and 30 seconds later it shut off again. Overheating? Is there some way I can find out for sure? It's been running fine, I did have to replace my CPU heatsink about 4 weeks ago, but it's been running fine since then. Ideas?

Suggest running Prime95 to get an accurate read on the Temp, and weather it is an overheat. What are your temps in the BIOS?

Shutoffs, as opposed to reboots or BSODs, are often indicative of power problems. What brand and model (not just wattage) is your PSU?

I think it was one my last two ram slots. When from 6 to 4 gb and it seems to be working fine. Damn . . . I hate downgrades :(
