ATI Radeon HD 5570 or Nvidia Geforce GT420?

5770 is better but Atis drivers suck.

The 5570 can play some games--roughly GT240 performance. The GT420 cannot.

You'll get a huge boost if you get the 5670 or especially the 5770. But you'll need at least a 330W PSU (maybe larger) for the 5770.

The 5570 is much better than the Geforce 420.
But it would be better to go for at least a 5670 to play games.
Anyway if you want to choose just between these two take the 5570, is a good gpu, and you would be able to play any game in medium settings.

Btw, why are you deciding between specifically the 5570 and the GT420? What prices are they for? We might be able to find you a good deal if you tell us your price range and computer specs like CPU (eg. E5300), Power Supply (manufacturer and wattage), and motherboard model (can be read somewhere on it).

The 5570 would be a lot better for gaming. The only down side is that the drivers are not the great.
