Hi! I'm a new one on the forum , I hope i'll enjoy it
I am making my gaming rig but I have problems of choosing the right psu power
Here are my specs :

AMD Phenom II X6 Six-Core Processor 1090T (3.2GHz) AM3, HDT90ZFBGRBOX (Black Edition)

Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 Socket AM3 AMD 890GX/SB850 6 SATA USB 3.0 ATX Motherboard

G.Skill Ripjaws - Memory - 8 GB : 2 x 4 GB - DIMM 240-pin - DDR3 - 1600 MHz / PC3-12800 - CL9 - 1.5 V - unbuffered - non-ECC

XFX ATI Radeon HD6870 1 GB DDR5 2DVI/HDMI/2x Mini DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card HD687AZNFC

Cooler Master HAF ATX Mid Tower Case, RC-922M-KKN1-GP (Black)

Western Digital 1.5 TB Caviar Black SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM 64 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Desktop Hard Drive - WD1502FAEX

Anything else i think is unimportant...
I am thinking about getting
Cooler Master GX Series 650W ATX 12V V2.31 80 PLUS SLI Ready Power Supply RS650-ACAAE3-US
What do you guys think ??
Reply please :??:

The Cooler Master GX series is disappointing to say the least, it has excessive ripple on the minor rails once over half load, i would stay clear of it. They are usually a similar price to good units from Corsair, Antec, XFX, and Seasonic. A good 650W can handle 2 6870s, that GX 650 is not good though, if you only intend to run a single card you can get a good 550W unit.

forget cooler master, they arent very good value for money and rarely are able to produce their rated power, exception is their very high end models. +1 to hunter , corsair, antec, xfx, seasonic is what you should look at.
