Wired or wireless router is better for my environment?

Dear experts,

My church is on decoration right now and would like to consider whether using wired router or wireless router for our situation.

We would connect the wired broadband router at the ground floor but our working area is on the 1st floor for 7 PCs running Windows 7, and would like to have connection to another PC with projector with a longer distance from the 2nd floor working office. What should we install for this situation?

Much appreciated for your valuable comments!

Best regards,
Angel

i would say you can go fully wired if you feel like running all the cables.

but otherwise i would install a wifi router with maybe 2 or 3 wireless access points through out the church (perferably within 150m of each other)

Though wireless may suffer reception fade in areas of large premises, it does allow a lot more flexibility. Just so some additional research if your are also using wireless microphones or cordless phones -- as they may be on similar frequencies and cause problems with wireless networking.

Hi all,

If I select the wired router, which brand would you recommend?

Thanks for your advice!

Home plug / wireless system.

1st / 2nd Floor - Wireless N Access point to home plug.
Ground - Wireless N Router to home plug.
