Windows 7 and GFX card

I was wondering since I just converted to Windows 7 and had a question about graphics card and the BIOS. I should be getting my XFX 5770 and was wondering if when I install the card if I need to go into the BIOS and switch the display device over from the onboard to the PCI express or if Windows 7 automatically switches it over and uses the graphics card and disables the on board graphics. Please remember I am coming from XP.

It SHOULD automatically use your 5770 instead of the on-board display, however it is always worth going into the BIOS and manually disabling the on-board display so it has no choice but to use your 5770.

Thanks for the fast reply. I know the last time I used one in xp I had to go into the BIOS to change it. I just got my PSU put in along with my ram lastnight and im waiting on my 5770.
