  1. Hi!

I found this site to have some details regarding the board you are using:
    http://www.e4allupgraders.info/dir1/motherboards/socket775/ecsMCP73VT-PM.shtml

Here is being stated that the board should be similair to the ECS GF7050VT-M5.
With that you can find the supported cpu table on ECS's site:
    http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=858&CategoryID=1&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=16&LanID=0

    Hope this helps.
  2. *IF* this data is accurate, it might support up to a 9500 quad core, but, might require BIOS updates first...

    http://www.e4allupgraders.info/dir1/motherboards/socket775/ecsMCP73VT-PM_cpu.shtml
  3. If "MO" on the above link/page denotes a BIOS version, it might support a Core2Duo E7300 (2.66 GHz) as is....

What would said system be used for? (Might not be worthy of upgrading CPU for gaming purposes, if relying on it's integrated graphics?)

Cost of upgrading should be seriously weighed against low cost of H61/i3-2100 combos these days....
  4. install cpuz hardware to know the max processor speed of your pc...
  5. Thanks for the replies,
