Hi. I just built a new Win 7 computer using an ASUS P8P67 and an i5 2500k CPU and it's running nicely. I'm just wondering what all the 'chassis fan' connections are on my ASUS P8P67 motherboard. I have the ANTEC "Illusion" case so all my case fans just run off the PSU and have a 3 way switch, so I guess I don't use these connections for anything?

thanks :)

Hello keto6789;

The chassis fan motherboard connectors allow you to power the case fans off the motherboard. Depending on the type of fan (example, PWMfan) you might be able have the fan controlled by the motherboard based on case temps or control the fan by using a utility program.

It's an optional way of running fans. Your Antec case has fan controls that other cases do not have.
