Bottleneck

For 250 dollars your not going to be able to get anything like that combo. AM2 is dead. There is no point in buying anything for it.

I disagree!! i know many peps who use AM2 . my mom for one.

AM2 originally came out in 2006 and has since been replaced by AM2+ and now AM3 as well as AM3+ is coming in 3 months. If its all you can afford go for it. It'll work but don't expect stellar results.

i think he meant the upgrade path is already dead. however it may considered as dead anyway since AMD will release new socket soon and there is no way AMD want to keep AM2 around for too long.
