Hello all,

Just considering buying myself an entry level laptop (UK based).

Am stuck between a Dell Inspiron 6000 and an Acer TravelMate 2304 WLMi
- both similar prices for similar spec (i.e. there's a couple of
reasons why one is slightly more expensive than the other), but
wondered if any of you had any recommendations for these models /
companies - or indeed any other recommendations in the sub £600 price
range.

Thanks in advance

I'm surprised you're calling the Inspiron 6000 a budget laptop. That's
usually reserved for the Inspiron 1000 and Inspiron 2200. The I6000 is
an entry level desktop replacement and is crosslisted in Dell's small
business website. I have a I6000 and love it very much :) What do you
want to know about it? There are many reviews, i.e.

Thanks for the feedback and reviews Michael - think I should have
posted this in the UK forum to be honest though
