PS.. sketchup runs openGL

I saw another user here in a different section very happy with a HD6950 running sketchup.

The question is though whether that is an overkill and a midrange card like HD6850 or GTX460 would be a more economical choice. They are substantially more powerful than the GT430.

and what about the quadros? I just want the ''best'' GPU for sketchup because my projects are too heavy.. there will be a GPU made for this job...the problem is ...wich???

Quadro or FirePro all the way if you have the money to spend on a professional card.

im thinking about the fx1800, fx3800 and 2000
the danger is to buy an expensive gpu made for another application (es. cad, 3ds or so..)
thats why i wonder if the master design gpu producer has something to propose for the intensive sketchup users...
