(Help needed) : CPU Cooler and Video card update

Hi Guys,

After a year with my setup , I wanted to upgrade the following. I hope you guys can help me:

1) CPU Cooler (I will not overclock)

I have a CM Hyper 212 Plus in a single fun set up. I used HWmonitor software to check the temperature.
At idle the 4 cores average temps are 36-40 C while when playing games it reaches to 56-60 C
Is 56-60C damaging temp already to my CPU?

option A : Add another fan for Hyper 212 plus

Can this really lower my temp?

option B : Buy a new cpu cooler. Inorder of my preferences below.

B.2) Thermaltake Frio

B.3) Thermaltake FRIO OCK

2) Video Card upgrade . I am an avid ASUS fan so my choices are of ASUS in order of my preferences also

2.1) ASUS EAH6870 DC/2DI2S/1GD5 Radeon HD 6870

2.2) ASUS GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) ENGTX560 DCII

Thank you in advance.

Thanks a lot for feedback bro.
Care to explain a little bit especially on choosing option A: Hyper 212 plus?

Thanks for the quick response bro.

Does this mean that 56-60 C is fairly safe for my CPU?
As weekends i normally play games 15-18 hours straight. :-) and 7-8 hours weekdays straight.

Yep .. fine and safe, 60c for game. Your cpu maximum 70C. .. Enjoy your game

which is better bro having a Vertical or Horizontal setup? Currently its Vertical where the airflow is form the front to the back to the 120 exhaust fan. My casing have a 200 exhaust fan at the top, I'm thinking of setting it up horizontally where the airflow from below to top to the 200 exhaust fan.

Adding another fan to your 212 should lower your temps by 5c at least.

I found a buyer for my Hyper 212 plus cooler for half the price when i bought it though. I am now leaning towards the CM V6 GT. my question is which better Horizontal setup (exhaust at the top) or Vertical (exhaust at the back)?
