  1. No a GTX 460 SE isn't an upgrade at all. If you get one you will only be disappointed as it will likely be a downgrade. I am not going to try to explain it but if you want to upgrade aim a little higher unless what you have isn't doing very well and is failing.
  2. BTW Is a 5870 overkill at my resolution of 1680X1050?I don't plan on upgrading my monitor any time soon and I just found a used one on newegg

No i upgraded from a 5870 and i game at 1680x1050 i had to turn some settings down on Crysis,STALKER call of prypiat and Metro 2033.
  4. This may sound like a weird question but what upgrade from my gtx 260 will improve visuals on my games? For example I can play Metro at high and crysis maxed with shadows and object detail on high and in just cause 2 I had to disable gpu water simulation, ssao and had to put shadows on medium. Now what GPU upgrade will help me to enable the options my 260 can't.My GTX 260 is on par with a gtx 275 bcoz its factory overclocked and has twin fans with 1792mb
  5. What resolution you gaming at? Any card that would be a good worthy upgrade from what you have is going to require you to get a better power supply. If you mobo supports sli get 2 560's if not i would look at a single 570 or possibly 560.

My resolution is 1680X1050.PSU is 550W Corsair. No I don't want to go SLI bcoz of incompatiblity issues and heat. Please suggest me a single card which will allow me to max settings my 260 can't.I don't care about fps I just want to max out settings which my 260 cannot.
  7. You can run this card with your current power supply.

This one requires a 550watt power supply so it would be cutting it very close but it faster.
