Hey everyone,

This is my first post on the site, so I thought I would make it count. I seems that no PC gamers play on 720p(1366x768) anymore, so I couldn't find any solid reference anywhere. I'm building my first gaming rig, and my budget is pretty tight (600-800 for entire system including OS). Now considering that my resolution is relatively low (ill be using my 720p HD tv as a monitor), what cpu and graphics card combination would be best to max at any current game (yes, including Crysis and perhaps Metro 2033) with 4xAA and the whole deal. From what I've gathered so far, it isn't asking much considering my resolution. Even if i couldn't max it per say, what(in your opinions/experiences, of course) would be best?

My AMD Athlon II x3 440 and an hd6850 TOXIC max out metro 2033 pretty well @ 1280x1024 res. I think you should get a little better CPU if you want to run Crysis though. Maybe a phenom ii x4 CPU.

http://www.tomshardware.com/review [...] ,2811.html, budget build fits right into what you want to spend, you can even up the CPU a few notches and add larger hard drive.

ok, thanks, yeah i think thats what I'm gonna do. to be honest 720p gaming isn't THAT bad, i mean it looks great on my consoles. A cheap budget like that's perfect for a first build
