Well, this game is open for all skill levels with only one exception:

The players which play and are invited in/for "The great Gathering"
can't play here. ;)
(This is it have max. success for "The Great Gathering")

But beginners should think twice if they really want to join as the
settings are not common. We have very high starting population, low
mineral levels both on surfeace and core and both on HW and planets.
Also we a food stock pile of 200, which hurts the races which normally
grow fast. Also the hcinfig parameters are changed. Finally we have
stable and unstable WHs.

Also I expect the game lasting long

Victory points will decide the winner. There is an ally limit of 4. This
means the VPs of an alliance are added together.

Bots and Borgs only can win on their own although they could form an
alliance during the game (They are expected as real juggernauts here)

If players decide to win within an alliance they have to claim this in
the game banter board and they have go 25 turns before claiming the
Victory of their alliance. This 25 turns begin ti run after claiming it
in banter board. And this alliance cannot be resolved anymore.

The settings are not rigid and can be discussed in the game banter board.

Host will play also. :)

Where do I get the beta racepack for IMT ?
Is IMT already encoded in host 194 ?

Actually, what does it take to make a race playable with h194 ? Are
other new races available (arborians, braphats) ?

The creators built their own race pack. So while the standard stuff
will work, the racial abilities and devices (primarily the Spindizzy)
do not work. They won't work until Tim gets back to working on 3rd
party races, which may not be until after the game is officially
released out of beta.
