I have a recently-acquired Dell GX620 Desktop. We have in use a Lynksys router and a Comcast modem. We use Comcast cable

We currently have two other computers running, but the Dell doesn't get out to the signal.

Do I need some kind of receiving device for the computer? or what?

Thanks. Noodnik

The computer needs a wireless adapter. It can be internal or it can be a usb type stick or a card that slides into your laptop slot. Some laptops have a tiny switch to enable or disable the wireless. If you have an adapter and it is on you normally will have an icon in the lower right task bar.
So do you have an adapter?
