Hi,

I have a GTX 460 card currently, and I have 3 screens, at the moment I can only have 2 of my monitors enabled at once so I'm looking to buy a new graphics card.

I do sometimes want to program in CUDA so I was considering creating a SLI configuration, but would this let me use all 3 monitors at once? or would I keep the 2 monitor limit?

You would be able to use all three at once then. Simply SLI another 460.

thanks, sorry it's a bit of a lame question but it'd be a big investment to then not be able to use all 3.

It's no problem.

In SLI, Nvidia states on it's website that the 460 is 2D Surround Ready, meaning it can support 3 monitors.

"no problem" is an oversimplification. You cannot use high resolutions (>1080P) with tri-multimonitor with nvidia.
