No power on new sys

Last response: in Systems

Hello,
I just assembled a new system and it does not power up. It as a Gigabyte m/b (P67A-UD3-B3). Did the following:
Power switch to m/b pins - check,
A/C power to PSU block - check,
CPU fan connected to m/b - check,
ATX 6-pin and ATX 24-pin on m/b connected - check.
What am I missing?Should I check the voltage out from the PSU? Do I need plastic standoffs between m/b and case? On my last system upgrade when I switched from conductive metal to plastic it powered up after similiar situation.

Hello Askalon2;

Have you looked over over the forum's "System won't boot" checklist yet?

You do have the ATX 4-pin (not 6 pin) MB connected?

If you do the 'bread-boarding tip'... test the build outside the case you'll get your answer on the need for non-conductive standoffs (or non-conductive washers on the brass standoffs).
