High end pc stutter

One year ago i bought a high end pc
it´s specs are:
-RAM : GSKILL PC3-12800 4GB Ripjaws CL7 (2x2GB) DDR3
-CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
HDD : Samsung spinpoint f3 500 gb 7200 rpm
GPU: gigabyte hd 5850
PSU: corsair TX 650W
As you can see it´s a solid build, however every modern game i play like homefornt , bullestorm , crysis 2 and so on stutters heavily while maintaining great fps.
Can you help me please?

More about high stutter
  1. You my friend seem to be experiencing "hitching" due to the HDD bottleneck
  2. I though my HDD was solid
Infact it was tested by review sites with much more powerful hardware(i7´s and such) with pleasent results
if thats so what are my options? buy a new hdd?
  3. I doubt it's the hard drive unless it's defective.

MANY of us use 7200rpm drives and we don't have stuttering in games.

Is this a new problem or has it always been a problem?

What is your internet connection speed?

Have you done a disk cleanup and disk defrag lately?

Have you run any tests on your memory?

Do you have the latest graphics drivers for your 5850?
  4. 1- It´s always been a problerm
    2-50 mb/s fiber
    3-I do them weekly
    4-how can i test it , is there a specific software ?
5- I downloaded the last batch of drivers today
  5. I don't know man, i would probably format the drive, re-install windows. Then reinstall your motherboards chipset drivers and then your gpu driver from the website. Then get all your windows updates installed.

    In that order.
  6. Ok problem solved
I did what you posted and i cleaned the thermal paste in my cpu.
Basicly it was thick like cement and had no thermal properties left
I installed some nice artic silver 5 paste and cleaned the cooler
    Games run fine now :D
    Greets and thank you
