One year ago i bought a high end pc
it´s specs are:
-RAM : GSKILL PC3-12800 4GB Ripjaws CL7 (2x2GB) DDR3
-CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
HDD : Samsung spinpoint f3 500 gb 7200 rpm
GPU: gigabyte hd 5850
MOBO:M4A79XTD EVO
PSU: corsair TX 650W
As you can see it´s a solid build, however every modern game i play like homefornt , bullestorm , crysis 2 and so on stutters heavily while maintaining great fps.
Can you help me please?

I though my HDD was solid
Infact it was tested by review sites with much more powerful hardware(i7´s and such) with pleasent results
if thats so what are my options? buy a new hdd?

I doubt it's the hard drive unless it's defective.

MANY of us use 7200rpm drives and we don't have stuttering in games.

Is this a new problem or has it always been a problem?

What is your internet connection speed?

Have you done a disk cleanup and disk defrag lately?

Have you run any tests on your memory?

Do you have the latest graphics drivers for your 5850?

1- It´s always been a problerm
2-50 mb/s fiber
3-I do them weekly
4-how can i test it , is there a specific software ?
5- I downloaded the last batch of drivers today

I don't know man, i would probably format the drive, re-install windows. Then reinstall your motherboards chipset drivers and then your gpu driver from the website. Then get all your windows updates installed.

In that order.

Ok problem solved
I did what you posted and i cleaned the thermal paste in my cpu.
Basicly it was thick like cement and had no thermal properties left
I installed some nice artic silver 5 paste and cleaned the cooler
Games run fine now :D
Greets and thank you
