If this is the one:

Then no, it's crap. Only one PCIe connector, a real 900W power supply could have as many as 6. It's also seriously lacking in SATA and peripheral connectors.

It only has a 36A 12V rail, which equates to 432watts. This is where most of your power should be. A good, modern 900W PSU would have 70 - 75 amps on it's 12V rail.

You should only be able to get a good 900W PSU for ~£40 if it's second hand.

Agreed, that power supply would only be good for a Single GPU system. And even then you would have to stick with a lower end card. It's really more of a 400watt supply....

A good supply should deliver P=V x I (P=12 volts x Amps)
- 650watt supply should have 54amps on 12 volt rails
- 850watt supply 70amps on 12 volt rails

Continuous, not peak power.

Too many people under estimate the importance of a strong, quality power supply. Choose one from Corsair, Antec TP, or Seasonic...
650watts will work for any single GPU system.
850Watts will work for all but the highest end dual GPU systems.
