Cheap Budget Board LGA1155

Hello,

So I am going to have the following setup:

CPU: i5-2400

GPU: Undecided as of yet, probably around a Radeon 6870 or so

USB disk drive

I think that's all that matters (tell me if there's anything else). No other extra fans except for case fans. Which reminds me, my case is the HAF 912. So I need a cheap budget mobo for this. I would prefer USB 3.0, but it's not necessary. I heard ASRock was good, so I found:

ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3

The others are fine but these mobos give you more features.

I would pick the ASRock, if you wanted to know.

Well... I don't need to overclock. That's why I didn't pick the ASRock. Those are nice boards, but they're for overclocking which adds on about $50 or so.

Buy ASRock H61M/U3S3 .
It have USB 3.0.
Video Ports: D-Sub + DVI , HDMI .And is cheap.

Okay. I was just wondering... is there any point in getting the ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 if I'm not going to overclock? I've heard it's a superb board, but... I don't need a Z68

With ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 you have the option for future upgrades.
Support new Ivy Bridge processor , PCIE 3.0 if you change the cpu to Ivy, SLI , Cossfire option.

How about this one? It's not for overclocking (H67), but then again, my CPU isn't either (I switched to i5-2400):

It's got 4 RAM slots, USB 3.0, and nice ratings. I think that if/when I upgrade later on, I will also be buying a new CPU (if I want to overclock), I will probably never use two graphics cards, and so on and so forth. I might get the Extreme3 if I have enough left over... we'll see.

You have all the options what ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 give you except SLI, Crossfire option.

You say you won't overclock - why? The i5-2500k will most times OC to 4.5GHz.
If you don't get the 2500k at least a z68 board will give you options for OC or Ivy later.

I was told that my GPU (Sapphire Radeon 6870) would never need the CPU to overclock, even if I had two of them.
