Hi

I've been browsing hundreds of websites for detailed specs of my CPU but got a bit confused.

My Phenom II X4 965 BE ( HDZ965FBGMBOX ) according to some websites is capable of running with 4000MHz HT link,
other sites says 2000MHz

In BIOS HT freq is allocated automatically as 2000 however i can manually adjust it to 4000.

I prefer to ask here if someone has that model and runs it at 4000 ?

AMD site does not give that detail.

Please advise

Its a DDR type link, it runs at 2000MHz and achieves 4000MT/s(mega transfers/second) that is where a lot of the confusion comes in, since it ships data on both the rising and falling clock cycle it behaves like a single data rate link shipping data at twice the frequency.

The HT link will only run at the fastest speed supported by both the motherboard and the CPU, since the CPU is only running it at 2000MHz it will run at that speed, unless you increase the baseclock of the system(your CPU has an unlocked multiplier so you can OC without increasing the base clock).
