My haf x should be turning up within the next week and I'm wondering is putting the 80mmx15mm fan over the graphics cards worthwhile? would it be better then just leaving it open to the intake from the side?

Also if it is worthwhile, can anyone recommend a 80mmx15mm fan that's actually good? seems most companies don't make them in that size.

they do make 80mm fans but the biggest question is : ARE YOU A FAN OF SILENCE?

if you are - then getting 80mm fans are a total danger NO NO for you. 800mm fans oush far less air than 120mm fans and in doing so since they have blades spaced closer than a 120~200mm fan they cut the air more frequently and produce resonance - that causes the whirring sound from the fan blades.

leave the side panel alone and have the air flow through you case instead of getting too many fans to intake air. This way you have negative pressure working for you in the case.
