I have a EVGA nVidia GeForce 9800GT http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0032W602A/
Please recommend a cheap power supply for my graphics card, and System (HP Pavilion p6130f), hopeful under 45$
Thanks In Advance
PS. Also must be 450W or over to support the card and the system.
I would avoid it totally it says 575W but when you look at the pictures you see :
it shows 25A on the 12V rail and the 430W Corsair CX430 (A good make) has 28. So basically its not as powerful as a good brand 430W and no name PSUs are well known for killing themselves and the rest of your components.
Are you sure I only need 400w, because I was reading i need at least 450w for this graphics card or I could fry my system
Don't know where you read that , but it's BS.
Nvidia reccomends 400 watts for a system with a 9800 GT, that number is over-rated to try and make sure that people who use Logisys power supplies have enough amperage on the 12v rail.
Stressing a system like yours would put a 55-60% load on a 400w psu, nothings going to fry due to a lack of power.
