Since some time last month when playing battlefield 3 I get these massive hiccups while playing, the game basically stands still for a second or two and then resumes to normal. I've tried to troubleshoot it with EA's support as well as on battlelog forums and nothing is working.

Yesterday when playing starcraft 2 for the first time since last October, I started experiencing the same stutters that I get in BF3, the game would hitch up here and there when the action started, but I've never had this problem before with any game but battlefield. In BF3's case the hiccups were present when the game released, but around December and Jan I started playing again after these problems caused me to quit and the problem was no long an issue until February.

On a possibly related note while playing Fallout 2 I keep getting out of memory crashes, I have no idea why but it could just be that it's an old game.

Other problems I've been having recently.

At one point certain web pages would refuse to load on any browser I used.

Right now on firefox some videos will be laggy and slow and I can't click the timeline or pause/play button on 'any' youtube video in firefox even after a reinstall.

In Chrome some youtube videos start up paused while others start up on auto play, I've never seen this before.

The biggest scare is that on occasion my PC won't startup when I click the power button, but then when I click it again it's fine.

My Razer Naga mouse has recently started to disconnect and fail to reconnect regardless of the USB port, this might just be the mouse as my Rat 7 still connects and works fine.

Anyways, I purchased 8GB of ram instead of the 4 that I have so maybe that'll make my problems go away or maybe it won't.

Someone suggested that my motherboard may be going south, I may be inclined to believe him.
