Hi to all! I own a pc with the follwing specs;

cpu; i5 760
gpu; sapphire radeon 6870
mobo; gigabyte GA-H55M S2
ram; 4gb kingston hyperX
psu; 650w corsair
hdd: 500gb western digital (sata2)

I know that my mobo is one of the cheapest for socket 1156, and I wonder if it worths to upgrade to something else.. My main purpose is gaming, and if there is going to be just a small difference in gaming, I would't like to spend more money.. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I didn't know that every mobo would have the same peformance in gaming, and that's the reason I created this post..! (Also I am already building a new rig with an i7 2600k..:) but for things more than simply gaming)! Thanks for the reply!!

For motherboards you look at two things features and supported products (i.e. processors, video cards, memory and hard drives). So right now you are using the H55 board and you change to the P55 there really won't be any diffeence in performace but one is going to have some features that the other won't have. P55 board might work better for overclocking while the other might offer the use of the IGP (integrated Graphics on Processor).
