I'm building a Sandy bridge rig for gaming and multimedia, as well as for school "I want to be a game developer".

This is what I have purchased so far:

Intel i7 2600k + Corsair H50 watercooler
Asus p67 Revolution Motherboard
Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 2x4gb 1333mhz Ram
EVGA GTX 580 Video Card (Eventually will purchase another for sli)
All in an Antec 1200

This is whats sitting in my cart, I need more opinions on what to get for the remaining components.

Thanks, I'm just making sure everything is right because my build last year was not so good.

It is overpriced. But I hate tearing and with a 580 and the ability to play in 3d then I might as well just go for it.....

Ditch that Kingwin psu for a reliable brand such as Seasonic, Silverstone, Corsair, XFX, Enermax, Antec or PC & P.

Here's an example down below

I see where you're coming from, but I'd advise against it. Just because I have SLI GTX 480s doesn't mean I should do 3D gaming. I actually tried it for a while and ended up really not liking the experience. All this 3D nonsense is just a fad, nothing more. And as everybody who's ever looked at the settings page in a game knows, VSYNC will lock you to 60 FPS. And if your game doesn't have that option you can do it from the Nvidia control panel. Besides, even with a GTX 580, chances are you won't get to 120 FPS in newer titles at 1920x1080...

It is a fad. I think your advise might be very good. Basically I could save a couple hundred give or take and put a little extra into a psu. Maybe wait until no glasses are needed because thats just another expense.

Yeah I do not need built in speakers as I have Astro A40's and a mixamp.

But that is a 23" and I'm looking at a 27"
